Third generation sequencing definition
Hi all, So I'm trying to understand this sentence : "Third generation sequencing works by reading the nucleotide sequences at the single molecule level, in contrast to existing methods that require breaking long strands of DNA into small segments then inferring nucleotide sequences by amplification and synthesis". I a molecule is simply a group of atoms connected together so even if we cut the dna into small segments and then sequence it is still at the molecule level isn't it ? thanksHuhiop (talk) 17:45, 12 August 2020 (UTC)
