Notability

The SII is a very widespread test that's one of the first steps of any career counselor. Walk into any college career counseling office in the country, and it's probably the first or second tool they'll administer. Google search comes up with 30,000+ hits for the phrase "Strong interest inventory", and I'm sure if we dug deeper, we'd find even better examples of its notability. --Alecmconroy (talk) 20:44, 12 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

RIASEC occupational theme codes

I am surprised the article does not mention the six single letter "Occupation by Theme Codes", Conventional (C), Realistic (R), Investigative (I), Artistic (A), Social (S), and Enterprising (E); which is the heart of the SII. In reference to the above entry, the SII is also available at Transition Assistance Offices, available to all personnel seperating from the US Navy and US Marine Corps. Thanks for your comments. I included those codes in the article today. Daniellagreen (talk) 18:24, 17 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Differentiated and undifferentiated theme codes

Question: my husband says the inventory is used to place people in jobs WITH other people like them so they will be compatible with others at work. I say its more like a correlation if A likes both B and C and you like B you will like C. Is there a discussion anywhere of the thinking behind the test? I appreciate your comments. I will work on adding that in to the article as it is important and relevant. Daniellagreen (talk) 18:24, 17 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Added category

This article has never had any official categories added to this talk page since its creation. The SII is an important assessment used in career counseling, and is justified for being included in categories related to psychology and psychology projects on Wikipedia. I've added a reference, and cleaned up the references and links. More references are needed. Please add to and help to improve this article, Daniellagreen (talk) 21:48, 16 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Most Recent Revision?

The article mentions "the recent revision" several times with respect to the SII, but does not specify when this was. The reference cited to the manual is 2014 (12 years before I posted this comment), which can hardly be considered "recent." Such comments should be footnoted to a more recent citation and/or the text should be be revised to something like "the most recent revision" with an appropriate citation on its first use in the article.
