For anyone from WP:PCR looking at a pending edit from a TA, look at the IP for the TA first if you have WP:TAIV. There is ab IP editor that has persistently been attempting to insert typical LLM-generated text to this article. --Gurkubondinn (talk)15:59, 7 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
This would be a mistake. This article certainly needs more work to discuss the academic debate on the origins of spaghetti, but in the 2002 translated edition of Serventi and Sabban, the claim does not seem to appear, and what does appear are several passages that contradict it. Well, the source you just linked says we shouldn't definitively be saying it was invented in Sicily. "Although spaghetti might originate from the Arabic World. It is where the Italians who started producing the product on a larger scale." Rollinginhisgrave (talk | edits) 17:50, 28 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
Rollinginhisgrave are you the person that should be contacted to eventually modify the page of Spaghetti? Are you the person who created the page "Spaghetti"? If so, I will search other sources/references to prove that Spaghetti was first made in Sicily. Thank you Ant Gla (talk) 12:24, 29 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
Rollinginhisgrave I think there is a misunderstanding. I know what you mean. I was/am trying to understand why the "Spaghetti" page of Wikipedis (in English language) is non completed. In other words, there is no Country of Origin, and no Region of Origin, mentioned. I was/am wondering why this information is not provided in that page, since it is well-established that spaghetti were first invented in Italy, and almost certainly in Sicily. Similarly, it is well-known that pizza was invented in Italy, and in the Region of Campania. This information is obviously present in the page "pizza". Hence, I do not understand why the page "Spaghetti" is not completed, and especially, why Italy (in this case Sicily), is not given the right credit for being the first place where this type of pasta was made and invenetd. That's all. Ant Gla (talk) 19:28, 29 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
Can you tell me why you think it is better to search for sources proving that spaghetti was invented in Sicily, rather than looking for the best sources on the history of spaghetti? Rollinginhisgrave (talk | edits) 22:07, 29 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
I am bowing out of this conversation. If a page watcher could keep an eye on inadequately sourced introductions of Sicilian origins it would be appreciated. Likewise for Ant's other edits, see recent activity at at parmigiana and gelato. Rollinginhisgrave (talk | edits) 02:12, 30 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
