Starting

Given there are at least three references to solidDB in Wikipedia, it seems to me there should be some minimal information here. I’m reluctant to enter it myself without first seeking advice, since I work for the company which offers it.

Keeping “NPOV” in mind, here is what I came up with:

Article text

solidDB is a relational database management system offered by Solid Information Technology (Solid). solidDB includes an in-memory database as well as a traditional database, which both employ the same SQL interface, and a high availability option. Companies using solidDB include Alcatel-Lucent, Cisco Systems, EMC Corporation, Hewlett-Packard, Nokia and Siemens AG.

Solid also offers solidDB for MySQL, a version of MySQL that includes a solidDB storage engine. solidDB for MySQL is open source software available under the GNU General Public License.

Solid is a privately held company originally founded in Helsinki, Finland in 1992, and is now headquartered in Cupertino, California. Investors include CapMan and Apax Partners.

UNICOM

I felt that the article only brushes on UNICOM, saying, "here it is." and then drops it. Readers have no idea who UNICOM actually is, here. I put some of the details from their page here for reader clarification. I feel that this is both remaining neutral WP:NPOV and informative as it increases ease of reading, albeit more reading. Let me know your thoughts on the matter or if there's any issue with my addition. I put this talk page up just in case. Thanks, Complete turing (talk) 10:11, 11 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
