No Longer Privately Held

The article says that the company is private. It has traded publicly (NASDAQ:SEDG) since 27 March 2015 (https://www.google.com/finance?q=solar+edge&ei=F2uEVevTOtareaqLl8AN). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:252:D58:1C70:9444:405:E59C:1B59 (talk) 19:28, 19 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Lots of non-wiki footnotes?

There are a lot of *s all over the article, did someone just copy/paste the content from the official site? Should this be changed? Fry-kun (talk) 22:01, 26 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Who uses SolarEdge products?

Who uses SolarEdge products? and which ones? Would not a CHART of users of various SolarEdge products be useful to our readers? MaynardClark (talk) 00:38, 4 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Disclosed COI request: two sourcing issues

I work for SolarEdge and have disclosed this on my user page per WP:PAID. I won't edit the article directly. For transparency: an agency made edits here in 2024 that were reverted as promotional. I wasn't with the company then and have no connection to those accounts — I'd rather use the proper process.

Two issues, neither of which benefits my employer.

1. Macrotrends citation in the lead. The sentence about the June 2024 share price cites Macrotrends for "an all-time-high of $368.33 on November 15, 2021". Macrotrends is a stock-price chart aggregator and isn't a reliable source for a specific historical price figure per WP:RS; the Investopedia citation alongside it doesn't support that clause either. Note also that the dollar figures in this sentence were previously found to be incorrect and were corrected in August 2024 (see the edit summary at 17:13, 20 August 2024). Given that history, a chart aggregator seems a weak basis for the claim. Suggest removing the all-time-high figure, or replacing the citation with a reliable source if one exists.

To be clear, I am not proposing any change to the S&P 500 content, which is well sourced and belongs in the article.

2. Infobox financials. These are dated December 31, 2021 — revenue is listed as US$1.96 billion. Nearly five years stale for a listed company. Current figures are in the latest Form 10-K.

Happy to answer questions or provide sources. Yuval-SolarEdge (talk) 09:18, 30 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Additional information needed - I don't see an issue with either, however, it would be helpful to include sources so your requests can be completed. Heartmusic678 (talk) 19:45, 31 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for taking a look. Details for both below.
1. Macrotrends citation. To be clear, the figure is easy to find - my concern is what it represents. Macrotrends states that its price history is adjusted for splits and dividends, and gives $368.33 as the all-time-high closing price for 15 November 2021. Other providers show different values for the same date (Yahoo Finance: close $365.13, intraday high $369.29). The article presents one provider's adjusted figure as an unqualified all-time high, which is why I raised it.
Options, in order of preference:
  • Remove the "down from an all-time-high of $368.33 on November 15, 2021" clause, leaving the rest of the sentence and its Investopedia citation intact
  • Or attribute it, e.g. "...down from a split- and dividend-adjusted peak of about $368 in November 2021"
Either works for me. I don't think a stock-chart aggregator is a good basis for a precise historical price claim (WP:RS), but I'm not attached to a particular fix.
2. Infobox financials. Figures for the year ended 31 December 2025, from the Company's Annual Report on Form 10-K filed with the SEC on 25 February 2026:
  • Revenue: US$1,184.4 million
  • Operating income: US$−301.7 million
  • Net income: US$−405.4 million
  • Total assets: US$2,182.2 million
  • Total equity: US$427.5 million
  • Number of employees: 3,576 (full and part time), as of 31 December 2025

Consolidated balance sheets and statements of income (loss) are at pages F-6 to F-7; the employee figure is in Item 1 under "Human Capital".
I've given raw figures without increase/decrease markers so you can format them as you prefer. Note these are materially worse than the 2021 figures currently shown - I'm requesting the update because the existing data is five years stale, not because it favors the company. No further comment in two weeks since I provided the sources, and past the 7-14 day window in the reviewer instructions. Since Heartmusic678 reviewed both requests and saw no issue with either, I intend to implement them myself in 24 hours unless anyone objects. Both are uncontroversial and neither favours my employer - the financial figures are materially worse than the 2021 data currently shown. Happy to self-revert if anyone disagrees. Yuval-SolarEdge (talk) 09:42, 16 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
Both requests implemented, as flagged 24 hours ago with no objection.
  • Infobox financials updated to FY2025 per the Form 10-K [diff]
  • All-time-high figure and Macrotrends citation removed [diff]
Two notes: I left out the increase/decrease markers rather than choosing them
myself - computed against FY2024 several would be upward arrows, since revenue
rose and both losses narrowed, and that didn't seem my call to make as a COI
editor. Anyone should feel free to add them. I also corrected the infobox
footnote, which still read "Financials as of December 31, 2021", and
consolidated the citation there instead of repeating it on each field.
On the sentence, I removed only the unsourced clause and its citation and left
the wording otherwise unchanged.
Anyone should feel free to revert any part of this. @Heartmusic678:
thanks for the earlier review. Yuval-SolarEdge (talk) 11:38, 17 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
