Add more citation of the article

This article needs more citation to be verified. Right now there are just two citations which makes this article not reliable. My suggestion is more citations should be added to this article in order to improve the reliability of the article. This will also provide more angles to view and evaluate 'Social Data Analysis'.

After searching and reading a bunch of papers, I suggest those articles or books to be added in the citation part:

Advice for this article

This page simply introduces the basic concept of Social Data Analysis. In my opinion, besides the basic concept, this article should cover two more aspects in the content. One is the sources of data, telling people where to find social data and how to get social data. The other aspect is the methods of analysis, telling people the algorithms that are used for analysis. In addition, this article should include more links of other pages and have better citations. Lxtlouise (talk) 19:39, 7 November 2014 (UTC)Xiaoting Li 14:32, 13 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

I agree with you on including more citations. Meanwhile, I think adding more contents, as you mentioned, is also very important to this article. It gives too less information. Valuable contents should be added to make it look more plumpy.

That's right. So my suggestion is that we can add two more aspects in this article. One is the resources and the methods that we can get social data. For example, we can get social data from platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Wikipedia and Google, etc. And we can get the data via API provided by these platforms. The other aspects should cover the methods of cleaning and analyzing the retrieved data. For example, we can use Pearson Correlation, Apriori and many other methods to analyze the data. When we add these analyzing methods, I don't think we need to detail these methods in this article. Instead, we can create links to other pages that introduce these methods. This may help to increase the number the links in this article, which will help to improve this article.Lxtlouise (talk) 16:09, 8 November 2014 (UTC)Xiaoting Li 14:32, 13 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

What you mentioned are exactly what this article lacked. Besides the sources of data and the algorithms, I believe some proper examples such as softwares are needed. We can even create a table to clarify it. At the same time, to enrich this article, the 'See also' part should be collected again, since the 'See also' are disordered right now. So do the 'External links' part and the References. They all need to be completed according to our finished edition. And the article should also have a perspicuous structure after edit.XiaoxiD (talk) 04:51, 13 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
