Picture

The picture claims to be from 1964. He'd be 33-34 then. It sure doesn't look like the photo of a 34 yr old. Would someone verify the date it was taken? (I'd guess 1970-75 (or even later), but skin-aging varies by exposure as well as health, diet, and genetics...so maybe.) Thanks!40.142.176.185 (talk) 01:23, 18 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

I also think the picture is not that great. Maybe try this one?

This needs better explaining

In the Early Life section

Afterwards, he returned to the co-op and worked as a lorry driver, a lifeguard at Portobello swimming baths, a labourer, an artist's model for the Edinburgh College of Art, and after a suggestion by former Mr. Scotland Archie Brennan, as a coffin polisher, among other jobs.

The article on Archie Brennan makes no mention of body building. It took an internet search to find this article that states he was body building winner.

But that aside, the statement above makes no sense: 'and after a suggestion by former Mr. Scotland Archie Brennan', but what the suggestion? To be a coffin polisher? I don't get it. 80.189.122.246 (talk) 15:46, 11 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

No mention of his daughter?

No mention is made of Giovanna "Gigi" Connery. She was Diane Cilento's daughter from her first marriage to Volpe, but Gigi took Connery's surname, all of her children use it, and they are regularly referred to in the press as Connery's grandchildren. Is there some reason for it not being included here, or is this just a huge oversight? Thomaspashko (talk) 04:56, 5 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

Ethnicity

Sean was a QUARTER Irish ethnicity, not half-Irish as claimed in part of his early life section. A later paragraph confirms this - he had two great-grandparents who came from Ireland, the other six great grandparents were Scottish. I have already tried to change his bio to show this, but someone changed it back for some reason. 2A00:23C7:5034:B901:68AD:4071:B67A:F815 (talk) 10:18, 9 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

You are right, he was only a quarter Irish. His father being half Irish, the other half Scottish (McNab). The maternal side are all Scots.

The question is whether or not scottishroots.com is a self-published source or is truly a reliable source. I think that it is questionable. Do you have any demonstrably reliable sources? Peaceray (talk) 22:32, 6 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
