Could someone please give some more information concerning the different forms of rotational motion? I feel that the introduction section needs more expansion - it lacks equations, or is that all the equations they have for rotational motion? ----User:Xinyu

The only form of rotational motion is an object which turns about its axis. That is what defines rotational motion according to Fundamentals of Physics by Halliday/Resnick/ and Walker (One of the major textbooks for Introductory Calculus based physics). I'll start adding more equations and references when I get a little more time, but Introductions don't need equations they just introduce the topic. Angular position is where the equations start. ---User:rsfontenot

Merging and reworking 'Rotational motion'

I'm going to merge Rotational motion and Rotation around a fixed axis on a temporary talk page: Talk:Rotational_motion/Rotational_motion. I found this mind map of the subject of rotational motion, and in my opinion that's the direction that the structure of the rotational motion articles need to move in.

Currently Rotational motion doesn't seem like the 'lead-in' article to the subject, and that's what it needs to become. I'm going to start re-writing most of it, and throwing in a few more relevant equations. I think we need to maintain the idea of making that vital comparison with the other forms of motion, but I want to tone it down a bit and stick closer to the subject matter.
