Advertising law firm

I'm not going to get into an add/delete war with a "contributor" who is just a floating IP address (wasn't Wikipedia toughening up on this sort of thing?), but I disagree strongly with putting an external Web link (enabled or not) in the introductory paragraph of a Wikipedia entry. This Wikipedia entry is not exclusively about the subject individual's involvement in the law firm represented by this Web link, so the inclusion of the link in the opening smacks of advertising, not useful supplementary information. If the Web site in question does provide supplementary information and rounds out the individual's profile, its best and most appropriate position in the entry is in the External Links section at the end of the entry. This is in keeping what Wikipedia recommends (see the Wikipedia policy on External links).

I've only been editing and making Wikipedia contributions since 2005, so maybe I'm not fully versed in what is proper here. If the floating IP address contributor or some credible, experienced Wikipedia contributor can clarify what is best here, I'm always eager to learn more.
