Rank in music

"Primary Topic" template

I think the primary topic of "Rank" would be the article Ranking and the pages current title, Rank, should be redirected to that page and that this page should be re-named "Rank (disambiguation)". Is there a meaningful enough distinction between "rank" and "ranking" for this not to be the case? Bernardgeorgeh (talk) 12:54, 29 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Bernardgeorgeh: IMO yes. Ranking is a relative comparison, whereas ranks are, in many cases, specific and often official levels. For example, military ranks are related to, but distinct from ranking. I'm going to take a crack at making this less of a mess. Clarityfiend (talk) 11:21, 30 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
