Change:

"In September 2023, Project Veritas suspended all operations after laying off most of its employees. Hannah Giles, who had been appointed CEO to replace O'Keefe in June 2023, resigned in December that same year. Upon resigning, she wrote, 'I stepped into an unsalvageable mess – one wrought with strong evidence of past illegality and past financial improprieties.' She added, 'Once such evidence was discovered, I brought the information to the appropriate law enforcement agencies.'"

Benjamin Wetmore, president of the board of directors, confirmed the organization remained active, stating 'We're not shuttered, and that's not the truth.' She added, 'Once such evidence was discovered, I brought the information to the appropriate law enforcement agencies.' Project Veritas resumed active operations by 2024 and into 2025, including a sting operation in which an EPA staffer was secretly recorded discussing efforts to rapidly commit remaining IRA funds before a federal deadline, which EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin publicly referenced when announcing an attempt to claw back funds. The organization also claimed credit for undercover footage of DNC Vice-Chair David Hogg discussing internal party matters, and conducted an investigation into New York Attorney General Leticia James' residency. In February 2025, the U.S. Department of Justice closed its years-long criminal investigation into Project Veritas and founder James O'Keefe related to the Ashley Biden diary, with no charges filed against any affiliated members."

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want made. Sources for the statement about IRA funds can already be found in the article. Other new statements require reliable sources. --Spiffy sperry (talk) 19:42, 4 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
