Sources

I don't have time at the moment to get this into the article properly, but here's third-party sources talking about this company: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] Friday (talk) 23:13, 14 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Removed content

I removed this bit for sounding too much like an advert: " They provide software designed to optimize the use of server resources across the enterprise to improve business service levels and lower costs. PlateSpin says that its virtualization technology liberates software from hardware platforms allowing servers to be streamed over the enterprise network from any source to any destination, ensuring best fit between server resource supply and application workload demands." If anyone thinks it can be reworked, feel free. Friday (talk) 23:22, 14 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Also pulled out this:
PowerConvert is a software solution that allows servers to be streamed between physical servers, blade infrastructures, virtual machines, and image archives over the network. PlateSpin decouples data, applications and operating systems from servers, re-configures and optimizes resources, and automatically streams them to any physical or virtual platform. Remotely drag-and-drop servers across dissimilar infrastructures around the world to optimize server resource capacity.
PlateSpin PowerRecon is agentless software that measures, analyses and determines the optimal fit between server resource supply and workload demand. By remotely capturing server resource capacity and workload demand statistics, PlateSpin PowerRecon ensures that the right server infrastructure has been matched to the right application workload to maximize performance.
If anyone feels there's useful stuff there, feel free to try to work it back in. Friday (talk) 20:24, 19 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Acquisition

Article says company is subsidiary of Novell. I'm pretty sure they are now part of NetIQ. I don't know anything about the nature or history of the divestment / acquisition. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NetIQ 70.113.53.58 (talk) 14:52, 20 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
