Is it pronounced "pidgey-ott" or "pid-jit"? I've heard it both ways; I'm sure one way is more official. --Brandon Dilbeck 07:15, 29 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

In the special episode there Casidy and Butch kidnap professor Oak, Pidgeot's name is mentioned then the man describes about the truck. I own that on DVD. Hope this could be useful on how to pronounce the name. TheBlazikenMaster 22:42, 18 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
It's pronounced "pidgey-ot" in the dubbed anime, but according to the Japanese pronunciation, the actual word "pigeon," and that old handbook by Maria Barbo it should be "pi-jit".—ウルタプ 23:03, 18 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
That can't be rigth because "pigeon" is for Pidegotto in the Japanese version. Pidegeot is the same in both Japanese and English. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.167.99.122 (talk)
