Hi.

I was the original submitter of the Phonecasting page. I saw that an editor marked it as needing "notability". I have made some changes to the page, to try and provide sources or more information on the term "phonecasting". As this is my first submit, I'm not exactly sure what the editors were/are/will be looking for, however, I'm trying my best! I'll be happy to make more edits to the page, if needed. The term can be vague, and there's no reliable sources on who defined it, per se...it's more of a descriptive term made up my some marketing guy, no doubt.

Hi, there is still much more that you can add in the English article. Most importantly:

• There Phonecast has been around for decades and was used by some SW and AM stations
• The hi telephone fees in some European countries (eg Germany) prevented a long time the breakthrough for the mass use, as well as the elaborate phone systems prior to using VoIP-based solutions
• Today will be mostly web-based systems such as Asterisk uses that are accessible through the Internet often using SIP addresses
• These systems are also used in parallel live chats made available as an option (eg Phonecaster.de)
• Some vendors specialize in radio stations (eg Phone Caster), other provider specializing in web radio and amateur radio operator (eg Phonepublisher.com) instruments and the deals with podcast offerings via telephone.
