The content of Dindi festival was merged into Pandharpur Vari on 26 September 2022. The former page's history now serves to provide attribution for that content in the latter page, and it must not be deleted as long as the latter page exists. For the discussion at that location, see its talk page.

A section on the public health issue of so many people participating for the wari and public health issues affecting both the pilgrims on their route and the villages on the route would be a good. Dindi is primarily synonymous with the Pandharpur Wari; the Goa dindi is just a recreation of the Wari. Similar dindis are also held in Mumbai to Vithoba temples in Dadar/ Worli. Redtigerxyz ^Talk 19:09, 29 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Klbrain,The merger was not necessary.The Dindi festival of Goa is not associated with the Pandharpur wari. Unlike Pandharpur wari, this is purely a local festival with a procession that never leaves Goa, and also held in November rather than June-July. User talk:Klbrain,Redtigerxyz, Having the November Goa Dindi festival, in the Ashadh (June July) Pandharpur wari article can confuse readers. Both processions are held in honor of Vithoba, but the Goa festival is relaively new. Perhaps, the Goan festival can be covered in an article called dindi festivals that can also include the one held in Mumbai.L et us keep this article for only those palkhi processions that start at different places but end in Pandharpur on the day of Ashadhi Ekadashi (in July). Redtigerxyz OK, so they hold yatra four times a year but you get paduka of Sants making the journey only once a year during Jeshtha -Ashaadh. The others are minor occasions, turnout probably not bigger than what they get on monthly shukla ekadashi. We can have a small section to cover this information but this still does not answer the question of why the Goa festival should be under Pandharpur wari. The acccurate spelling of Vari starts with a V not W which makes it sound like War.

People are purposely or ignorantly messing up actual spellings and pronunciations of Hindu words.

V for God Vishnu.

V for Vitthal.

V for Varkari.
