"See Also" section

The "See Also" section had this bit:

  • Open Learning Division of Thompson Rivers University (TRU) is one of Canada’s leading distance education providers.

...which I have removed. There are hundreds of other universities worldwide involved with open learning, and to single this one out seems like an advertisement to me. Instead, I'm adding a link to the wiki page for "Distance education", because Open and Distance Learning are commonly related. Dracunculus (talk) 22:41, 23 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Lead section and article organization

Based on the literature cited, I've attempted to capture the breadth of this topic in the lead section. Hopefully, both the text and citations provide clues for further development of the article. --Litjade (talk) 21:27, 8 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Merge with Open Education or differences clarified further?

"Open learning" is a common term for "open education" so this is a problematic article IMO - does anyone have thoughts about how best to address this issue? Leaving a note on the WikiProject Open page too. - Sara FB (talk) 21:07, 20 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

@Sara FB, I've open this topic for discussion on the Open education talk page. —Litjade (talk) 13:26, 31 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
