Talk:Night Must Fall

Huh?

"The 1937 film of the play tells the story of an elderly woman in remote County Essex, England, who hires a young man to work in her home, despite her niece's increasing concerns that he may be a local murderer. Featuring a very scary hatbox. Chilling when performed properly. The film starred Robert Montgomery, Rosalind Russell and Dame May Whitty."

The italicized part makes no sense and I'm removing it. Kennard2 04:26, 29 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Huh??

Why does Dan rate a whole section to himself? Is this POV or isn't this article finished? 4.249.3.117 (talk) 22:44, 1 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Herbert Kenwith

The obituary of director Herbert Kenwith in The Los Angeles Times states: "The first theatrical play he produced and directed was “Night Must Fall” starring Dame May Whitty."

However, Kenwith would have been barely 18 years old at the time of the 1935 London production with Whitty. The New York-based production followed only a year later, and the film was 1937. (Contrast this with him being "Broadway's youngest producer" more than a decade later in 1948.) It seems unlikely he would have been involved in leading these pre-WWII stagings.

Accordingly, I have not included this fact in the article pending further confirmation. Woodshed (talk) 16:51, 29 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
