Notability

Hello admin, This page is being written in an encyclopedic format and is currently being updated. I understand that pages that are local concerns are usually considered inappropriate for wikipedia. Certain churches however have qualified for long-term inclusion on Wikipedia. Examples include Calvary Church (Charlotte), The Unitarian Universalist Church of Charlotte, Saddleback Church, Willow Creek, Calvary Chapel of Fort Lauderdale. The criteria for inclusion on wikipedia seems to be size (with the notable exception of The Unitarian Congregation), but I believe it is also correlated to the notoriety of the pastors.

First I would like to address the size issue. Next Level Church's most recent attendance figure (as of last weekend) was 640. Exactly one year ago the church broke 300 in attendance so at this rate it will qualify as a megachurch in under two years. Next Level Church also has regional influence as within it's first year of existence it has already planted two daughter churches. The combined attendance of the churches in the Next Level Network was over 1000 people in the Piedmont Region this past Sunday.

Second, I hope to address the personalities associated with Next Level Church. Todd Hahn (link goes to google search for Todd Hahn) the current lead pastor has published at least three books. and Dan Southerland (link to google search) wrote the book Transitioningand began Church Transitions, Inc and worked for Purpose Driven Ministries. Glenn Wagner has published over four books and was the pastor of Calvary Church (Charlotte). Also notable is Mary Southerland (again goes to google search).

I hope you will respond to this post I would honestly like feedback. I hope that you deem Next Level Church worthy of inclusion into wikipedia for these and other reasons. Im4umru 02:09, 10 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I have removed the speedy deletion template based on your assertion of notability here. But please see WP:COI. Needs updating

This article desperately needs updating. [1] was amusing. The church has has now (2010) spread to many locations. And also made a fool of itself, or made itself more famous [2] Huw Powell (talk) 07:10, 7 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

OK, I started updating this, but it needs more work to shift from a (mildly) vanity piece to reflect this church's current status. Huw Powell (talk) 04:10, 9 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
