Next generation sequencing (NGS) is the high through put technique of DNA sequencing based on chemical protocols rather than the old termination based sanger method. Next generation sequencing is referred to in many caalling words notable being MAssive/massively parallel sequencing, deep sequencing and second & third generation sequencing.
