Talk:Multiplication operator

The last sentence in the section Example is as follows:

Talk:Multiplication operator

Unclear assertion

The last sentence in the section Example is as follows:

"This can be easily generalized to characterizing the norm and spectrum of a multiplication operator on any Lp space."

But many things were stated in the section Example, so it is entirely unclear just what it is that "can be easily generalized". 2601:200:C000:1A0:EC43:1933:F8E1:B7FC (talk) 18:50, 1 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

"This" refers to the entire example itself; every part of it generalizes. If the article was further along, it would follow the example with a formal section. Alas, it is not. 67.198.37.16 (talk) 22:23, 25 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
