I suggest replacing "This has resulted in the length of a anomalistic month having increased from 20 days to today's 27.55 days over the course of 3.2 billion years." with "This has resulted in both the synodic month and the solar day increasing in duration over the course of 3.2 billion years, with a smaller relative change in the number of solar days per month." which better reflects the content of the cited study.
I already made a similar change to the Orbit of the Moon article, but this article here is semi-protected. ~2026-31651-65 (talk) 08:27, 28 May 2026 (UTC)
I am reviewing this article as part of WP:URFA/2020, an initiative to review Wikipedia's oldest featured articles. Upon reviewing this, I noticed that there are lots of uncited statements, including entire paragraphs. Some might be covered under WP:CALC but other statements require citations. Is anyone interested in fixing up this article, potentially getting it ready for a TFA re-run? I'm also going to add this to WP:FARGIVEN to see if it will get more attention. Luna (the Moon) is her name. I believe it should be added on the main page in brackets. I'm also not happy that SpaceX crashed into her. --DoveTheEditor (talk) 19:15, 5 August 2026 (UTC)
that I can't find a reliable source for a fact as simple as "there are fewer volcanic than impact craters on the Moon." Serendipodous 13:28, 11 August 2026 (UTC)
tell me whether this article mentions polygonal lunar craters? https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0019103509003534 Serendipodous 12:34, 17 August 2026 (UTC)
The information in the "observation" section is too basic to show up in science materials. But I'm not going to search out a written source until I know all the necessary material is in there. So does anyone know the right book to read? Serendipodous 12:16, 22 August 2026 (UTC)
