I question these page moves. Remeber Wikipedia is an encyclopedia that happens be on the Internet, not an Internet encyclopedia. It should thus not reflect the current biases of the Internet. - SimonP 22:05, Oct 19, 2004 (UTC)

I think that "Matthew Smith" or "Matt Smith" (with redirects, including from Mathew Smith) should be a disambiguation page. I don't think that any of the Matt Smiths are "clearly predominant" in the same way that Rome might mean a village in Ohio. --Mrwojo 00:00, 21 Mar 2005 (UTC)

If anyone is predominant, it's Matthew Smith the painter. There are entire books devoted to his works, and not just from vanity publishers. Here is a biography published by Faber in '97; here is another published by Lund Humphries in '95. The computer programmer seems a pipsqueak in comparison; indeed, borderline VfD fodder. Thus I suggest conversion of Matthew Smith into a disambiguation page. I'd "be bold" and do this myself, but it requires a deletion and I don't have the requisite superpowers. -- Hoary 09:17, 2005 Apr 23 (UTC)

even as a fan of this Matthew Smith I think it should be a disambiguation page - even the MobyGames page linked to confuses two different people involved in games called Matthew Smith.--Scatterkeir 03:47, 5 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
