The size dispute is rather unfounded. In Sonic 3, the chaos emeralds are small enough to fit in sonic's hand as you collect them, but when you go to hidden palace zone from mushroom hill zone, the emeralds all become about the same size as the master emerald.Ziiv 09:08, 30 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Those in Hidden Palace are Super Emeralds, which are the Chaos Emeralds in a different form. The Master Emerald just randomly changes size... However, the Chaos Emeralds are bigger at the ends of levels in Sonic Adventure, so you have a point.
