Non-black lynchings

Of course lynching does have a history closely linked to racialism however over a third of all lynchings in the U.S. were not black victims. I think there should be a section dealing with them. John Not Real Name (talk) 18:38, 18 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

Not an American thing

The article claims that the term "lynching" likely originated in the US, but that can't be true, as in Galway there's a "Lynch's Window" because in the middle ages the mayor (or someone who owned a castle there, I can't quite remember) lynched his son by hanging him from a window in a wall, and it's been called that for centuries before the US even existed.
