Spurious remove of Google OR-Tools

Dear all,

May I know:

  1. Why Google OR-Tools (Apache 2.0) has been removed from this page ("Free and open-source software"/"Software libraries") by https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_optimization_software&diff=prev&oldid=859952944 ?
  2. How to bring it back to the list ?
  3. There is a https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_Developers#OR_Tools should we create a dedicated page instead ? (e.g. like COIN-OR https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COIN-OR)

Thanks !

This is a list of 'notable optimization software'. On Wikipedia notable in this context means 'has a preexisting Wikipedia article.' - MrOllie (talk) 12:20, 1 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
So creating such page would make OR-Tools a "notable optimization software" ? Mizux (talk) 12:41, 1 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
If the required sources exist. But see WP:PAID and WP:COI, if you were to do this certain disclosures would be required by Wikipedia's terms of use. - MrOllie (talk) 12:59, 1 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
Actually, looking at some of your other edits you're probably already in violation of the ToU, so you should look into that either way. - MrOllie (talk) 13:01, 1 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Solvers vs. Application Software

The lists of proprietary and freeware software products contain both solvers (e.g. MOSEK, CPLEX) and languages and software using those for more or less of an application (e.g. OptimJ or TOMLAB which may use MOSEK and CPLEX, as well as software products that don't disclose which solver they use). Would there be any merit in breaking the lists up or creating a table? NerdNaut (talk) 13:33, 31 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
