I suggest to merge 'Interstitial element' with 'Interstitial_compound' or vice versa. This article is a stub that discusses the same topic as the latter.

Also, the resulting article should be extended beyond the narrow scope of metallurgy, since it is a well known fact that interstitial elements affect the properties of many nonmetallic crystals. --FDominec (talk) 09:01, 24 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

I might add that actually we should merge three articles together: interstitial element, interstitial compound and interstitial defect, with interstitial defect as the destination. They are all the same thing--Officer781 (talk) 03:28, 3 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
