New county road shield needed

Proposed interstate still?
This is listed still as a proposed interstate but the article is written like it already exists in some way. I am just looking for clarification because the infobox header shows green, but if it still unsigned then it should be orange. - According to this article part of the highway in Alabama has I-22 signs up. So it seems to be partially open at least. Some earlier articles said I-22 would not be declared open until the interchange with I-65 in Birmingham was completed. -Fnlayson (talk) 18:58, 2 June 2013 (UTC)

I-22 was completed as of today 6-20-2016, members of the Alabama dept of transportation formally opened all of I-22 as the I-65 interchange has been completed Clintfranks78 (talk) 00:57, 21 June 2016 (UTC)

Routing specifics in Birmingham
The article states that US 78 continues along I-22 to its intersection with I-65? Doesn't it leave the route with AL-5 at exit 85? Mccunicano (talk) 00:56, 21 May 2018 (UTC)
Extensions to Georgia and Arkansas?
Look at this webpage, and scroll down to the map about halfway through. It shows potential extensions of I-22 through Columbus, GA, and then on across South Georgia. And in the other direction, going into Arkansas. Possibly towards Kansas City? Unfortunately, there is no source given. Has anyone else heard of these potential extensions? Is the map (posted anonymously on a message board) enough of a source to include something in this wikipedia article? Thoughts and comments would be appreciated. - Message board posts and other user editable pages are not reliable sources on Wikipedia. There needs to be some reports on this from media outlets. I-22 extended to I-240
I’m not sure exactly when this occurred, but if you pull up a map of Memphis, you can see that I-22 has now been extended to I-240 and not just I-269. Therefore all references to its ending at I-269 need to be updated, as well as all references to its being solely in Mississippi and Alabama. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Legofan613 (talk • contribs) 16:48, 6 September 2018 (UTC)
- What map are you looking at that shows I-22 ending at I-240 in Memphis? Google maps shows I-22 ending at I-269 in Byhalia, though this might not be a current map. -Fnlayson (talk) 17:19, 6 September 2018 (UTC)

- Indeed. Here is US 78 at I-240. It's an undivided 5-lane boulevard. That's not interstate standards. I believe that, on some planning maps, I-78 between I-269 and I-240 may be designated as Future I-22, but it certainly isn't there yet. --Jayron32 18:14, 6 September 2018 (UTC)

Exit list
Should the mile numbers listed for I-22 in Mississippi in the exit list be changed to match the mileposts? Since the are just based on U.S. 78's mileage in Mississippi, and since it sourced with Google maps, going onto street view will show you that I-22's mileposts and exit numbers are just the existing ones of U.S. 78. History
Reading the history section, and am I missing where it talks about when the freeway was built through Mississippi? Lots of detailed info on the progress of construction in Alabama. But what was the timeline of its construction in Mississippi? This timeline isn't even on the old US-78 article on here. Criticalthinker (talk) 15:22, 9 July 2026 (UTC)
Auxiliary routes
Am I the only one that believes that the proposed I-22 Spur route listed as High Priority Corrider 95 by the FHWA should be included in the future auxiliary routes section? It is on the website.
