The IC FE (forward engine) bus has been discontinued. It is no longer listed on the IC Bus web site, and IC dealers are reporting that the product is no longer available. I'm not very good with tables, so if one of you could move the FE from the current products table to the discontinued products table, that would be great. Are there any suggestions from editors as for making changes to the article? As it stands, there are a few places that might need to be worked on:
Hopefully, this provides a starting point for discussion. --SteveCof00 (talk) 08:10, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to 3 external links on IC Bus. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Why is a 40% improvement in fuel economy marked as dubious? With regenerative braking, hybrid engines excel in stop and go city driving where conventional vehicles waste massive amounts of kinetic energy as braking heat. Considering that typical school bus operation is the epitome of stop and go driving, a 40% improvement might even be an understatement. SEWalk (talk) 01:44, 26 September 2016 (UTC)
In 2021, IC Bus announced that it will discontinue the RE after the 2024 model year. The RE was introduced by AmTran in 1996 and was served by school districts such as Los Angeles Unified, Lodi Unified, Liberty Union High, and likely Antioch Unified and Tracy Unified.
Liberty Union High School District currently operates 26 school buses, including 12 IC CE school buses. However, 14 school buses (down from 16 at the time of discontinuation) were the now-discontinued IC RE, with #85 delivered in May 2023. Also, #55 and #56 was retired in July 2024 and was replaced by #91 and #92, both are the GreenPower BEAST school buses. Thomasfan1916 (talk) 04:41, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
The new IC CE with the MV chassis is now available with a gasoline option, using the same Cummins B6.7 engine as the diesel option.[1]24.59.245.106 (talk) 02:25, 25 October 2025 (UTC)
The 200-series designated V8 engines, but the IC RE never offered V8 engines. The T444E and VT365 are V8 engines and were not optimized for rear engine cooling packages. In fact, the RE is a full-size rear-engine transit-style school bus that only demanded larger inline 6 engines for torque and longetivity. ~2025-41256-25 (talk) 21:46, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
