I agree, it should remain as it is. The haversine formula is a specific equation in spherical geometry that uses the haversine function. Haversine should link to the article Versine that defines the function, not an article that uses the function for something.
This is much the same as the reason why cosine redirects to trigonometric function, not to the law of cosines.
