"primary meaning"

What is the evidence that this is the "primary meaning" of the common name "Fyodor"? 213.37.6.106 19:50, 22 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

I moved it to Fyodor (Hacker) to remove ambiguity. JonWinge 21:42, 6 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Slashdot Troll Hacking scandal

Interestingly but non-notably he hacked a group of trolls on slashdot, infiltrated their irc channel, with cmdrtaco goading him on. It was aeons ago, but it did happen.

SourceForge page/account "hijack"?

The paragraph about SourceForge said Lyon lost control of the page, "with SourceForge taking over", and "the original SourceForge page no longer contains any files". At the sources in this article [1][2], Lyon said the Nmap account and page were hijacked, but he said the Nmap page was "now blank" and SourceForge had "moved all the Nmap content to their page"; on archive.org, the Nmap page seems to have been in the same almost blank state for a long time (with no files and the same short description from 2001 to the June 2015 "hijack" through to today), and SourceForge's mirror page had been around for years and clearly stated it was a mirror (since 2012). Lyon points out that the mirror page says it's from "sf-editor1" and "sf-editor3", while the original page still said it was from "fyodor", which doesn't sound like they hijacked an account or a page.

It seems very unclear what the issue Lyon/Nmap had with SourceForge actually was, if it was anything at all. Perhaps I'm missing something, though, or archive.org is?

Since the sources don't seem to support what this article said (particularly the "adware wrapped download bundles" part, which Lyon specifically said wasn't happening) and I couldn't describe what the sources actually do mention in a way that seemed coherent and noteworthy enough to be included, I removed the paragraph about SourceForge completely.

If someone has/finds sources that make it clear what happened and that it was something that ought to be included in this article, here are the two sources removed and some things from SourceForge about their mirroring.
