Talk:Genetic representation

Terminology

Seems like someone is trying to coin phrase here. The phrase "genetic representation" is not found in any of the references. Additionally the article seems superfluous to the the existing articles around genetic algorithms. Rkedge (talk) 13:22, 4 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

It could be a useful way to unify the various kinds, such a binary, real, integer, tree, etc., but the article does need more citations and links to Wikipedia articles that describe them. ECGull (talk) 22:07, 8 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
I hope that the added references and added content about the relationship between genetic representation and genotype-phenotype mapping make it clear that this article has its importance and justification. Frankly, the topic of the article addresses one of the most important subtasks when trying to solve an optimization task with an evolutionary algorithm.
However, I can understand the criticism of the original text. Studi90 (talk) 16:22, 21 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
