Already have article on DNA microarray

I realize that this article talks about the analysis of microarrays, but the DNA microarray article already has a short section talking about some of the statistical challenges in analyzing this type of data. I love bioinformatics and all, but I don't know if the analysis of microarray data deserves its own wikipedia article. Algorithms and statistical tests deserve their own articles. Classic bioinformatics methods that work on raw data (such as sequence alignment, phylogenetic tree construction, and protein folding prediction) deserve their own articles. But the analysis of data specific to a technology that may have a limited shelf life doesn't warrant an article, in my opinion. The same would go for methods of analyzing cell sorting data or base calling algorithms for DNA sequencing.

This page obviously neglects Wikipedia conventions, including but far from limited to the fact that it has very few links. It was created by a person who has done no other Wikipedia edits than the initial creation of this article. I think this article is a good stub if the following was to happen:

1. move all issues specific to DNA Microarray in to the DNA microarray article
2. use this article here to discuss issues general of all microarray technology in bioinformatics

Specifically, I think it would be a good thing to give a systematic overview and history of microarray technology and what their targets are, e.g., DNA, mRNA (I am always confused about whether Gene Expression microarrays measure DNA or mRNA, I thought it was mRNA and yet there is no article in Wikipedia about it, only DNA), the DNA SNP arrays, then also antibody arrays for proteins.
