  • The opposite of foolishness is more like awareness. Or aloofness regarding how things appear. A "perfect fool" is to abandon awareness, trust in your own primary knowledge and wisdom, without a safety net so to speak. It's closer to the meaning prescribed by "Paul" in the article. It's a form of humility that is not akin to false modesty or piety. Wagner ascribes it Christ-like qualities in Parsifal. Paul or the translator may call that "wisdom", but they certainly do not mean in the sense that equates wisdom to knowledge or experience. The sense of wisdom is perverted and played with when contrasting it disparagingly to foolishness--184.63.132.236 (talk) 15:11, 19 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
