Missing articles

Why do we have articles called Filtered algebra and Graded ring, but not Filtered ring or Graded algebra? We should probably talk about filtered and graded algebras over a commutative ring, which is the most general situation. All the basic theory works at that generality. John Baez (talk) 23:33, 27 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Looks like they now exist, but are redirects to more general articles. 67.198.37.16 (talk) 18:56, 3 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Citation needed

Citation needed on isomorphism of the filtered algebra and its associated graded algebra. Here is an unsatisfactory one (the result is stated without proof): Edward Frenkel, Langlands Correspondence for Loop Groups, p. 381, (freely) available at [1]186.210.1.4 (talk) 02:54, 6 September 2018 (UTC) (since no proof is given on the reference, I haven't edited the article page; also, I apologize if this formatting is improper)Reply

Decreasing filtrations

Filtrations can be not only increasing but also decreasing (or -indexed, which includes both). Math MisterY (talk) 11:58, 10 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

"Filtered ring" listed at Redirects for discussion

The redirect Filtered ring has been listed at redirects for discussion to determine whether its use and function meets the redirect guidelines. Readers of this page are welcome to comment on this redirect at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2024 March 26 § Filtered ring until a consensus is reached. 1234qwer1234qwer4 17:52, 26 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

The result was a redirect to a subsection of the article on filtrations. But is should probably be a stand-alone article, in my opinion. See also John Baez comment above. 67.198.37.16 (talk) 19:01, 3 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
