Relation to early 20th Century named train?
There was the New Haven Railroad named train, the Fall River Line Special. This line ran from Boston to New Bedford and to Newport, Rhode Island. The route split at Fall River, Massachusetts. Steam boat or ship?
The Massachusetts Dept. of Transportation says that it is a steamship (or steamer) as does the contemporary source Steam-Ships.[1][2] The Rhode Island Historical Society uses steamship, steamboat, and steamer pretty much interchangeably.[3] I'm inclined to say that steamship is correct despite names like "Bay State Steamboat Company." I get the impression that usage evolved over time with steamship becoming more common circa 1900. --mikeu talk 20:31, 3 January 2020 (UTC)
