Where does this definition come from? As I understand it, "fail secure" means things like doors which stay locked if power is cut off, or the hospitals which close/lock the doors when fire alarms go off. What does the "hand-cranked gate" example have to do with it? Ojw 21:35, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
