Merge

I would suggest this not be merged as these are two separate types of systems, and i was searching for specifically strategic information systems when i came across this proposed merge. I would not have foun it immediately were I to have searched for it and cme up with executive information systems.

Thanks, Josh —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.31.50.100 (talk) 15:12, 13 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

I would agree with Josh. Both EIS and SIS are quite different from each other and it will not be a good idea to merge them. The advantage and usage of two systems is dissimilar. EIS seems to be an executive management tool to achieve the desired goal whereas SIS applications are used by end users such as in the case of Sabre systems.

Thanks, Rahul

I would suggest that the two topics not be merged. All the SISes I've worked on were manufacturing systems. All three contributed to faster, better, cheaper.

Greetings, Strategic Information Syetems is a different subject or topic to that of Executive Information Syetems - please refer to reasearched work on this matter. Business School recommended reading books for MBA or MSc programmes do show this distincion well. See "Business Information Systems", 3rd Edition, Bocij P, Chaffey D et al. Please keep these seperate. Kalabashzee (talk) 20:34, 21 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
