The opening sentence of the article was originally the following:
Electric catfish or Malapteruridae is a catfish family in the order Siluriformes.
I changed it to the following:
Electric catfish or Malapteruridae is a is a family of catfishes (order Siluriformes).
I removed the link for "Siluriformes", which is synonymous with "catfish", and rephrased it similarly to the first sentence of Claroteidae. Could anyone please tell me if this was the right thing to do? Additionally, could anyone please tell me if I should add commas around "or Malapteruridae"?
(Edit: Sorry to even ask all of the above except for the final question about adding commas, unless anyone thinks it was worth asking.)--Thylacine24 (talk) 01:49, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
So, this citation's a little iffy to me. Not sure the reputation of a commercial website about catfish as it pertains to African history. Furthermore, the mention of Egypt in the article was passing to the degree of being mentioned in only three sentences. Going to apply a better source needed. 2601:8C0:880:6E83:C17B:9E5:57E:5D5C (talk) 08:19, 12 February 2025 (UTC)
