The article simply describes what E-Authentication is. That description of what the service is not copyrighted by the US Government nor anyone else for that matter. The service itself is copyrighted.

Additionally, E-Authentication is part of the the E-Government which is the US Goverments initiative to become paperless. While not part of my official role, I simply entered the text into Wikipedia while documenting E-Authentication for MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) which is one of the goverment agencies partnered with the GSA in the E-Authentication project. Because of the importance of E-Authentication in relation to E-Goverment in general, E-Authentication's existance should be documented.

Lastly, the E-Goverment article should also contain reference to E-Authentication because part of that initiative is to simplify citizens interaction with goverment agencies. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rwsteele (talkcontribs) 21:32, 11 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
