I believe the Digital Being entry should not be deleted. It is an emerging term that is being discussed and gaining some acceptance within the AI community.

I believe the Digital Being entry should not be deleted. It is an emerging term that is being discussed and gaining some acceptance within the AI community.

The existing term "intelligent agent" is a more technical description of a Digital Being. However, there is acknowledgement that the term Digital Being better represents an intelligent agent that exhibits human-like characteristics.

I am the author of this entry and will accept the community's final determination.

Reference 3 says:

I am attempting to define what a Digital Being is and (hopefully) help stimulate its creation (or learn about who IS actually working on this today).

Toward that end, I created the Digital Being entry in Wikipedia today, as a place for everyone to contribute and refine their thoughts on creating Digital Beings in our lifetime (i.e., next 10 to 20 years, hopefully).

This shows that the article writer uses Wikipedia in an attempt to create a new term. --Ettrig (talk) 12:40, 24 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
