Ancestry

why not mention he's of hungarian-jewish ancestry? Any problem with that?

According to ancestry.com he has ancestors from Austria, Romania, Poland and Russia, but not hungary. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.173.156.124 (talk) 10:16, 6 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

NPOV

This article is pure hagiography and sounds like it was written by Tepper's PR department. And why is there no identification or date connected with the above comment on ancestry? Gunnermanz (talk) 05:26, 1 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

What parts? Is there anything you feel is missing?

Gunnermanz, your statement can be more helpful to the editing community if you provide specific examples of "pure hagiography" in the article.Writethisway (talk) 19:48, 26 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
The fact that there is a philanthropy section to the article that doesn't contain any meaningful contributions. Donating less than 1% of your net worth does not make you a philanthropist, it makes you someone who is good at avoiding taxes. It simply isn't notable. 2603:8000:E700:B200:9F0:FFE8:70FF:E497 (talk) 21:03, 2 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Article is close to failing WP:COI, and a possible candidate for WP:AFD. Is very soft on subject, mentioning his philanthropy work in the third sentence.

The 'early years' section is fluff and redundant.

'High school and college' the same.

Probably passes on notability, but article is not impressive in it's current state. + Ceoil 21:21, 23 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Personal Life

The washington post article detailing how he bought the house of his former boss only to have it demolished is misleading through partial information, especially in context. He bought the house from the ex-wife of his former boss (and former Governor of NJ), not directly from his boss. He demolished it only to build another house twice as large on the same property. While he may have felt some justice, it doesn't imply that he bought and demolished it only for spite

Modified it to add the links and full story. Consider eliminating the entire anecdote.
