Talk:Continuous linear operator

Oleg, thanks for a fix. What was I thinking. I was the one who mentioned about a topological approach. -- 133.87.1.152 03:31, 16 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Characterization?

"A continuous linear operator maps bounded sets into bounded sets."

Is there a discontinuous linear operator that maps bounded sets into bounded sets?

For general topological vector spaces, such operators can exist. Not in nice cases like normed spaces, though. Algebraist 14:36, 16 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
Can you give an example of such an operator? JumpDiscont (talk) 21:36, 16 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
