Merge discussion

As far as I can tell, this article describes exactly the same concept as the one in clime. Both have their good and bad points (this one is better referenced and straightforward, the other is more comprehensive). I propose merging contents of this article to the other (clime), but preserving most of its contents. The two Ptolemy's tables don't look the same? Pinging the primary author, User:SteveMcCluskey. I have no serious objections to merging the articles, although I personally prefer the plural title "Climata". To the casual reader, "Climes" seems related to the weather; it's already attracted a link to Wiki Project Meteorology on the talk page, which is only marginally relevant.
In any merger, we should protect the links on the talk page to the various appropriate Wikiprojects as on this talk page.
I'm pinging the drafting author of Clime, User:Dbachmann for his comments. --SteveMcCluskey (talk) 14:59, 2 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
Afaics, this was created in 2009 as an accidental "cfork" of the existing Clime page, so the merger seems straightforward. --dab (𒁳) 10:41, 5 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
