Type of government

Isn’t Chad a Unitary semi-presidential republic under an authoritarian hereditary dictatorship? Not just a presidential republic? Scarcsar (talk) 21:34, 21 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

"under an authoritarian hereditary dictatorship" is a label included in very few articles that goes against our point of view policy. Tbhotch (CC BY-SA 4.0) 21:42, 21 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
There are lots of ways and adjectives that can be used to describe a governmental system, and they can be analysed along many axes, so you may be correct it is many of those things, and it is likely more. However, for the infobox purposes it is identifying the key aspects that is important. "Unitary" for example, seems to be mostly unneeded, as it is somewhat a default and only meaningful when used as a direct comparison with another system like a federal one.
