- If you have more to write on it, then it may be reasonable to have an article here; but the original version here was poorly written, and essentially duplicated what was stated at Asset Management Plan#Objectives of an Asset Management Plan (where that article mentions "optimisation"). --- Barek (talk • contribs) - 00:10, 1 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

I can understand your perspective but I disagree with your choice to redirect. Are you an expert in Asset Management domain? We are. I only introduced the definition of Asset Optimization in the original article but not the full article (yet to come). In general Asset Optimization is related to Asset Management but it has nothing to do with Asset Management Plan. Asset Optimization deals with culture, process, methodologies and best practices related to asset care, risk and reliability. I intend to develop more content on this article.Reply
I would be comfortable with and request you the following:
1. Please keep the original content and include the link to Asset Management Plan.
2. We will shortly add more content to make the Asset Optimization a meaningful and comprehensive article.
I am very passionate about the topic of Asset Optimization. I appreciate your cooperation on this.

- I am fully aware of the difference, which is why the redirect pointed to a specific sub-section of Asset Management Plan which touched on the subject. Yes, it's brief over there; but as written, the article here is just as brief and the article here provides no context, which is available at that article.
- Please be aware that claiming to be an expert in a given area carries surprisingly little weight on Wikipedia. After-all, everyone here is working behind a user ID with no credential screening. What does carry weight is providing reliable sources to back up statements in articles. It comes as a surprise to many, but the threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth. A published source for statements can help you avoid the impression that original research was used to build an articles. On your accounts talk page, I attached a welcome message that includes links to key Wikipedia concepts, policies, and guidelines which can provide more on these concepts.
- As to any agreement, you also seem to have gotten the wrong impression. It's not up to me; Wikipedia works on a community concept. So if not expanded, the current article is likely to eventually be converted to a redirect again by myself or others, or simply deleted outright. I won't do it for now, as you indicate more is to come; but others may.
