Sanjay Rana (born 5 May 2001), known mononymously as Sanjay, is an Indian hockey player who plays as a defender.[1] He is also one of the second drag flickers for the Indian team which won gold medal in 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou.[2] He is selected to represent India in the 2024 Summer Olympics at Paris.[3][4]
Early life
Sanjay hails from Dabra village, near Hisar, in Haryana.[5][3] He played for Chandigarh in his initial years as a junior but later represented Haryana state in the domestic events.[5] From 2011 to 2017, he trained at the Chandigarh Hockey Academy. He is an alumnus of Chandigarh University.[6]
