Recognition
Du was elected a fellow of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics in 2013 for "contributions to applied and computational mathematics with applications in material science, computational geometry, and biology."[3]
In 2017 he was elected as a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.[4]
He was elected as a Fellow of the American Mathematical Society in the 2020 Class, for "contributions to applied and computational mathematics with applications in materials science, computational geometry, and biology".[5]
