Jeerapat Pimanprom (Thai: จิรภัทร พิมานพรหม; born July 10, 1999), known professionally as Pentor, is a Thai singer and actor. He is best known for competing on the iQIYI and SBSreality competition show Starlight Boys, where he ranked 5th in the final episode, making him a member of POLARIX. Prior to this, Pentor was a member of the project boy group LAZ1. He made his solo debut on March 31, 2023 with the digital single "Buzzkill" and his debut as an actor in the seriesA Love So Beautiful (2024).
Early life and education
Jeerapat Pimanprom was born on July 10, 1999, in Phuket, Thailand. Besides from his native language, Thai, he also speaks English and Chinese. As a student, he studied at Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) and holds a bachelor's degree major in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages.
Career
2021–2023: Insight Entertainment, debut with LAZ1 and solo debut with "Buzzkill"
On January 29, 2021, Pentor, was introduced as a trainee under Insight Entertainment.[1] On July 1, 2021, it was announced that Pentor would take part in the Sandbox Project of Insight Entertainment, in the trainee group Insight Rookies.[2] The group released the digital single "I Like U Summer" on July 5, 2021.
On September 25, 2021, he was revealed as a contestant for one31's survival show LAZ iCON.[3] During the show's finale, he was revealed to have ranked 5th overall with 2,248,515 votes, thus making him a member of LAZ1. On April 7, 2022, Pentor made his debut in the group with the release of their debut digital single "Taste Me". LAZ1 disbanded on March 11, 2023, after their final event LAZ1 Goodbye Party "Once".
He made his solo debut on March 31, 2023, with the digital single "Buzzkill" under the stage name PentorJrp.
2024–present: Acting debut, Starlight Boys and debut with POLARIX
Pentor made his acting debut in Jun 3, 2024 with the Thai series A Love So Beautiful where he played the support role of "New" Sassawat Jongcharoenniyom.
On September 29, 2024, Pentor was introduced as a contestant on the Chinese-South Korean survival show Starlight Boys. During the show's finale, he was revealed to have ranked 5th overall, thus making him a member of POLARIX.
