Village in Podlaskie Voivodeship, Poland
Nowa Żubrówka [ˈnɔva ʐuˈbrufka], is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Krasnopol, within Sejny County, Podlaskie Voivodeship, in north-eastern Poland.[3] It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) south-west of Krasnopol, 15 km (9 mi) west of Sejny, and 110 km (68 mi) north of the regional capital Białystok.
From 1975-1998 the village was administratively governed by the Suwałki Voivodeship.
The faithful of the Roman Catholic Church belong to the parish of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Wigry[4].
History
It was documented in 1827 the population of the village was 31 people with 5 homes and in 1895 it was documented that the population was 69 people with 10 homes[5].
Tourist attractions
In the village there is a listed farmhouse with buildings dating from the 19th century and the 1920s, listed on the National Heritage Institute's Register of Historic Buildings[6]:
