District in Yazd, Iran
Nir District (Persian : بخش نیر ) is in Taft County , Yazd province, Iran . Its capital is the city of Nir .[ 3]
History
After the 2006 National Census, Garizat [ a] and Kahduiyeh Rural Districts were separated from the district in the formation of Garizat District .[ 4]
Demographics
Population
At the time of the 2006 census, the district's population was 14,531 in 4,417 households.[ 5] The following census in 2011 counted 7,178 people in 2,470 households.[ 6] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 6,625 inhabitants in 2,517 households.[ 2]
